LIFE OF AGONY: 'Broken Valley' Release Pushed Back
February 18, 2005Epic Records has pushed back the release date of the much-anticipated new LIFE OF AGONY album, entitled "Broken Valley", to May 31 from the previously announced May 17. The album's first single, "Love to Let You Down", is scheduled to go for radio adds around March 21. Check out the album cover artwork at this location. A video for the lead-off single will be filmed during the coming weeks. Other songtitles set to appear on the CD include "Strung Out", "Wicked Ways" and "Don't Bother".
The group has been recording tracks since October in two studios in Hollywood, CA, with producer Greg Fidelman (SLIPKNOT, JET, AUDIOSLAVE). Drums were tracked at the legendary Sunset Sound recording studio (home to where several DOORS albums were made),while bass, guitars, vocals and other overdubs were recorded at Westlake Studios (RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE, RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS).
LIFE OF AGONY's upcoming album will be their first collection of new material since "Soul Searching Sun", which was released in 1997. The group's last release was a live album and DVD, entitled "River Runs Again: Live 2003". The two-disc set was recorded during the group's sold-out reunion shows at Irving Plaza in New York City on January 3-4, 2003 and was issued through SPV Records worldwide.
LIFE OF AGONY will be teaming up with MUDVAYNE, BLOODSIMPLE and AMERICAN HEAD CHARGE for a U.S. tour beginning in late March. A list of all the confirmed dates so far can be found at this location.
